Youthsafe’s Charitable Clothing Recycling Program

Youthsafe’s principal charity fundraising endeavour takes the form of a recycling bin program across Sydney: see locations below.

We invite donations of clean useable clothing and textiles for resale and reuse in both domestic and export markets.

Youthsafe welcomes all inquiries from private property owners to become a bin location to benefit the environment,
support Youthsafe and receive an annual rental.

Why Dontate Clothes to Charities?

Did you know in Australia:

  • The charitable reuse of clothing generates $527 million in revenue towards social welfare programs
  • Charities use 86% of all clothing donations received, (310,000 tonnes annually) with 14% going to landfill
  • Charitable reuse reduces C02 emissions by 66% (880,000 tonnes) and reduces water usage by 57% (59,000ML)
