Driver Licensing Access Program (DLAP)

The Driver Licensing Access Program (DLAP) is a state-wide program of Transport for NSW to help people (of any age) who have difficulty getting their driver licence.

Youthsafe provides the DLAP services that enable an eligible person living in the Local Government Areas of :

  • Hornsby
  • Ku-ring-gai
  • Hawkesbury
  • Campbeltown
  • Ryde 
  • Cumberland

to acquire a Learner licence or get their Red P licence.

To be eligible to receive these services a person must meet one of the following criteria:

  • identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • belong to a refugee and resettlement community
  • come from communities who have limited access to transport options or who are geographically disadvantaged
  • be a vulnerable young person or
  • experience social and economic hardship.
