Learner Driver Mentor Program Information Portal
Learner Driver Mentor Programs (LDMPs) can support young people to gain the necessary hours that assist in developing safer driving behaviours, particularly in the later stages of their on-road supervised driving experience.
This page will help you develop a program suited to your community, and can connect you with others who are running similar programs to support each other with information and resource sharing.

LDMP Training available

Youthsafe has extensive experience in supporting LDMPs by providing training, resources and advice for existing or emerging LDMPs which includes:
• A one-day session specifically to support mentors who volunteer as supervising drivers for LDMPs. The workshop aims to help volunteers understand the special role they will play in supporting a young person in getting their on-road supervised driving experience, to help them go for their drivers licence.
• Performing a complete evaluation of your LDMP including a full report outlining strengths, needs analysis and recommendations for your program to run more efficiently.
